KYLESA To Return To 'Last Call With Carson Daly' Tonight
December 21, 2011Savannah, Georgia-based psych-rock band KYLESA returns to NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly" tonight, December 21. This will be the group's second appearance on the the program. They will perform the song "Don't Look Back" off the band's latest album, "Spiral Shadow".
The episode will air tonight (December 21) at 1:35 a.m. EST / 12:35 CST, and re-air on Fuse on Thursday, December 22 at 2:30 a.m., 6:30 p.m., and 10:30 p.m. EST.
KYLESA will head out for a string of winter U.S. headling dates. The short run begins December 28 in Tampa, Florida and runs through a New Year's Eve headline show in Atlanta, Georgia. The band will also embark on an extensive European headlining tour in January. This massive six-week trek kicks off on January 13 in Oberhausen, Germany and hits sixteen countries before ending on February 26. Support on the tour will come from CIRCLE TAKES THE SQUARE and KEN MODE.
KYLESA played two songs — "Tired Climb" and "Crowded Road" — on the September 28 episode of NBC-TV's "Last Call With Carson Daly". You can watch the "Tired Climb" performance below.
"Spiral Shadow", the fifth album from KYLESA, sold around 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 11 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Released on October 26, 2010 via Season Of Mist, "Spiral Shadow" was recorded last summer at the Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina with band member and renowned producer Phillip Cope (BARONESS, WITHERED) once again at the helm.
"Spiral Shadow" was made available as a regular CD as well as a limited-edition digipak with 3D cover art packaged with a bonus DVD.
