L.A. GUNS Rejoined By Bassist SCOTTY GRIFFIN
January 10, 2011The Phil Lewis-fronted version of L.A. GUNS has issued the following update:
"Kenny Kweens [bass] has decided to leave the band. We wish the best for Kenny and we really enjoyed having him with us over the last year and a half. We are delighted to have return with us ! We'll hit the road on the 18th with Scott bringing back his rock and roll sleaze swagger to the band. Be sure to catch us out on the road!"
Phil Lewis' L.A. GUNS is not to be confused with the Tracii Guns-led version of the group, which is also continuing to record and perform under the L.A. GUNS moniker.
L.A. GUNS' latest album, "Tales from the Strip", was released in August 2005 in the U.S. via Shrapnel Records. The CD, which was produced by Andy Johns (LED ZEPPELIN, THE ROLLING STONES),was lyrically inspired by a historically significant rock scene that L.A. GUNS had a strong hand in creating.
