LAST CRACK: 'Burning Funkhouse Live' CD/DVD Details Revealed
December 10, 2005LAST CRACK's new CD/DVD, "Burning Funkhouse Live", has been released by Rökker Records and is available at www.rokkerrecords.com in either downloadable MP3 or CD/DVD formats. The CD features all 16 songs from the band's historic reunion show in November 2002. The DVD features live video from the same night. So far, two songs are available and two more will be released at no extra charge to "Burning Funkhouse Live" purchasers as soon as the final DVD is finished.
The performance was multi-track-recorded by John Machnik and mixed by LAST CRACK guitarist Paul Schluter. A raw, simply mixed version was to be released last year, but upon hearing the finals, the project was pulled back for a complete remix until it passed the scrupulous eye of the band. In the end, "Burning Funkhouse Live" is said to be "a great product" for LAST CRACK's fans. "It captured the feel of attending a LAST CRACK show in their hometown of Madison, Wisconsin," according to a press release. "The electricity was in the air."

In other news, MAGIC 7 — which features LAST CRACK members Buddo, Paul Schluter and Darren Soderholm — were scheduled to perform at the Branch Street Retreat in Middleton, Wisconsin last night (Friday, December 9). The band reportedly performed their Christmas songs ("Little Drummer Boy" and "Do You Hear What I Hear") as well as the classics and other rarities. This was to be the last MAGIC 7 show for sometime as LAST CRACK push the new live album and finish recording the new studio album, to be released in the spring of 2006. Opening the show was TRINITY JAMES and BIG BAD. Trinity won the opportunity to open for BON JOVI and asked the members of LAST CRACK to perform as his back-up band.
