LIFE OF AGONY Bassist On Upcoming Tour With BIOHAZARD's BILLY GRAZIADEI: 'We're Going To Do Some Really Cool Things Together'
October 6, 2018The career paths of former Roadrunner Records labelmates LIFE OF AGONY and BIOHAZARD have intersected at numerous points over the last quarter-century, with the latter band's Billy Graziadei even co-mixing LOA's live album, "River Runs Again: Live 2003". This fall, LIFE OF AGONY will return the favor by taking Graziadei on tour with them in Europe, where the guitarist will perform under the moniker of BILLYBIO.
"This will be his first [solo] tour, and we're so happy that we could do that for him," LIFE OF AGONY bassist Alan Robert recently told Ghost Cult magazine. "He's opened so many doors for us coming up, and it's kind of really full circle. I'm really looking forward to just being with him every day. We're actually going to do some really cool things together — some stuff up our sleeves. It should be a really good, fun time."
While 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of the group's Roadrunner debut, "River Runs Red", Robert says the band won't focus solely on that record during the fall tour. "We've been pulling stuff from all the records," he said. "We just wanted to make a really nice, long set, and we figured we'd go and figure out some old songs that we never played, and some songs that we used to love to play and bring [them] back in the set, and also play some new songs off the new record that we haven't played out yet."
The tour will mark the band's first full European trek with new drummer Veronica Bellino, who joined LOA earlier this year. "She's awesome," Alan said. "She just brings a whole different energy, such a cool person to hang out with and learn from too. She has a lot of mad skills and has played with a lot of great people. She even played the White House for Obama when she was with Jeff Beck. It's a lot of cool stuff, and we're having a good time."

LIFE OF AGONY's European tour with BILLYBIO kicks off October 10 in Hamburg, Germany and wraps up November 2 in Eindhoven, Holland. The two bands will then re-team for a pair of December shows with special guests SICK OF IT ALL in Huntington Park, New York and Asbury Park, New Jersey.
LIFE OF AGONY recently completed a three-week American tour with SILVERTOMB. The group's latest record, "A Place Where There's No More Pain", was released in 2017 via Napalm Records.
