LIFE OF AGONY Eliminate All Distractions During Latest Songwriting Session
October 1, 2004LIFE OF AGONY guitarist Joey Z has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"Just wanted to share with you guys that we are shacking up together in a house in upstate New York for three weeks to submerge ourselves in our music 24/7, eliminating all distractions from our writing process (like traffic). We turned out some great songs in our rehearsal room the past two months, but it's time to move out of the city, and dive in even deeper. We will be secluded from the world, with nothing but our gear and our four mental brains. It's going to make us even tighter and closer as musicians and brothers. All of you have been really great here on the board and at all of the shows this year and last. We will say thanks to you with a killer fucking record for you, early next year."
As previously reported, LIFE OF AGONY are believed to have finally signed their brand-new Epic Records record deal. The collaboration, which was exclusively reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET on Sept. 10, has yet to be officially confirmed by either the band or the label.
The group, who were previously signed to Roadrunner Records, will shortly enter the studio to begin recording their first album of new material since 1997's "Soul Searching Sun", tentatively due in early 2005. Songtitles set to appear on the as-yet-untitled effort include "The Day He Died", "Justified", "The Calm That Disturbs You" and "Love To Let U Down".
LIFE OF AGONY's last release was a live album and DVD, entitled "River Runs Again: Live 2003". The two-disc set was recorded during the group's sold-out reunion shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 3-4, 2003 and was issued through SPV Records worldwide.
