LINKIN PARK Working On Music For 'Transformers 2'

April 27, 2009

The Pulse of Radio reports that LINKIN PARK is working with film composer Steve Jablonsky on music for the soundtrack of the upcoming movie "Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen". According to Seibertron.com, the band will also contribute a brand new song to the movie, which opens nationwide on June 24. No other information was made available on the group's contributions to the film. LINKIN PARK has been at work on a new album since last fall, although there's no word on whether the song for the "Transformers" soundtrack will be taken from that project.

The first "Transformers" movie, based on a line of robot toys from Hasbro, grossed $708 million worldwide in 2007. Stars Shia LaBoeuf and Megan Fox return for the second film.

LINKIN PARK announced last week that it will produce a series of applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The first of the apps will debut sometime this fall.
