MÖTLEY CRÜE's NIKKI SIXX To Launch 'Royal Underground' Clothing Line

August 8, 2006

Women's Wear Daily reports that MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx is partnering with Kelly Gray, formerly the co-president and house model of St. John, to launch a label called Royal Underground that will comprise contemporary sportswear.

"I don't think anyone else could have convinced me to get back into this business, but he has a passion for clothing that is unparalleled," Gray said of Sixx.

"I was happy to take a year off, but [Sixx] had a passion for this business that I have only seen in the mirror," Gray told PageSix.com. "We design everything together, down to the colour of the thread. The marketing behind this is going to be the most exciting thing I've done in five years."
