MÖTLEY CRÜE's SIXX Reveals Inspiration For Clothing Line Name
March 4, 2003MÖTLEY CRÜE/BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION bassist Nikki Sixx recently revealed that the name of new clothing line, N. Sixx, was inspired by the devil, or more specifically CRÜE's lyrics to "Shout At The Devil".
"Well, you know where it came from is the original lyrics from 'Shout At The Devil' I had given to the graphic artists over there," he said. "And we had laid out the original lyrics for 'Shout At The Devil' and a photo of me covered in blood for a CAD — which is the work you do in the computer. It's a template of the shirt to see if you like the idea, that was signed... it just said N. Sixx."
Sixx added, "Those guys took that signature and turned it into a tag and showed it to me and we were like, 'Wow. That's the name of the line.'"
In related news, it appears that BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION recently had one of their recording hard drives stolen from their recording studio and the song "Shut The Fuck Up!" has been spotted on the Kazaa and LimeWire file-sharing programs. The band are asking fans to let them know if they spot any additional Internet listings.
