MACHINAE SUPREMACY Featured In Swedish TV Commercial For World Cup Hockey

April 7, 2008

Swedish metallers MACHINAE SUPREMACY have issued the following update:

"Throughout April, Swedish fans will be able to catch a TV trailer running on TV3 and TV6 promoting the upcoming ice hockey world cup in Canada.

"The commercial features the [Swedish] national hockey team skating around the ice to the sounds of MACHINAE SUPREMACY's 'Overworld'. If you look close, you can even catch a glimpse of the band playing on a stage above the ice."

MACHINAE SUPREMACY's video for the song "Edge and Pearl" can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's third album, "Overworld", which was released in Europe in February via Spinefarm Records.

According to the group's official bio, MACHINAE SUPREMACY "has already made their place in history by being one of the first bands to successfully embrace and utilize the internet and filesharing to gain a huge fanbase before ever having signed a record deal, received airplay or any form of sponsored promotion. They've reached out to all corners of the world, from Israel and China to the USA and Australia, and today [the band's web site] has over 100,000 song downloads every month (that's roughly 650 gigabytes of music being downloaded monthly). Their unique blend of metal, soundtrack and video game music has earned them even more praise and elevation in the underground music scene, and today MACHINAE SUPREMACY receives fanmails from all over the planet on a daily basis."
