MADDER MORTEM Hard At Work On New Material
May 5, 2011MADDER MORTEM, Norway's darling of the avant-garde, is hard at work on material for its next album. The band states, "Most of the songs are written and are being put through the Madders final arrangement/scrutinizer-grinder. It'll kick some serious ass, for sure!"
MADDER MORTEM last year parted ways with guitarist Odd Eivind Ebbesen and replaced him with Patrick Scantlebury.
The band released an EP, "Where Dream and Day Collide", in May 2011 on Peaceville Records. The EP contained three brand new songs from the bandmembers' warped imaginations, along with the single and album versions of the title track, taken from the sublime 2009 release, "Eight Ways". The artwork was created by Christian Ruud, who, along with Kim Holm and the people at Toxic, are also responsible for the breathtaking visuals on the suitably mysterious "Where Dream and Day Collide" music video, which can be seen below.
