MALEVOLENT CREATION: Drummer TONY LAUREANO Unable To Appear On New CD
July 27, 2006Despite a previous announcement to the contrary, drummer Tony Laureano (NILE, DIMMU BORGIR) will NOT be performing on MALEVOLENT CREATION's upcoming tenth studio album, "Doomsday X", >, tentatively due before the end of the year via Nuclear Blast Records. "Due to various schedualing conflicts I am no longer able to take part in the recording of MALEVOLENT CREATION's new album 'Doomsday X'," Tony writes on his web site. "It's unfortunate, but unavoidable. I wish them luck with the record, and look foward to hearing it."
MALEVOLENT CREATION is currently home writing and demoing material for the new CD, to be recorded later this summer. Recordings will take place at Mercury recording studios in Pompano Beach, FL with producer/engineer Gus Rios, with the mixing set to take place at Antfarm studis on Aaarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen.
MALEVOLENT CREATION's current lineup includes original bandmembers Brett Hoffman on vocals, Jason Blachowicz on bass, Jon Rubin on guitar, and Phil Fasciana on guitar. Teh band has yet to announce a replacement for Laureano.
MALEVOLENT CREATION has been confirmed for the 2007 edition of "The Domination Tour", set to kick off next February. Also scheduled to take part are Greece's ROTTING CHRIST and Norway's CARPATHIAN FOREST.
