Manager: KING DIAMOND Will Not Play Finland's TUSKA OPEN AIR METAL FESTIVAL

February 12, 2004

Contrary to an official press release from the festival's organizers (and a posting on the festival's official web site),KING DIAMOND will **NOT** be performing at the seventh annual Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, set to take place July 16-18 in the Kaisaniemi park in the center of Helsinki, Finland.

KING DIAMOND manager Ole Bang contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET with the following statement: "For your info, KING DIAMOND is NOT confirmed to plat any festival this summer, and in particular not the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival. . . We passed on this awhile ago."

As previously reported, KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy LaRocque will begin mixing the group's upcoming live album at the end of March at his Los Angered studio outside Gothenburg, Sweden. According to a posting on the band's web site, "no details are known at the moment such as album title, if it's going to be 2 CD etc. Andy [said] however that most of the songs the band played on the USA tour will be on the album."
