MANIFEST Vocalist Wipes His A** With The Bible; Video Available

September 3, 2007

A video of vocalist Stian Leknes from the Norwegian thrash metal band MANIFEST "wiping his ass" with pages from a Bible that was thrown on stage during one of the group's live performances has been posted on YouTube. The footage was shot by a fan in August 2005 in the city of Ålesund in Norway and has finally been made available online. Watch the clip below.

In other news, MANIFEST has finished recording, mixing and mastering of its second album, "Hedonism", which is scheduled for a late 2007/early
2008 release via an as-yet-undetermined label. The follow-up to 2005's "Half Past Violence" consists of 10 tracks and clocks in at a little over 40 minutes, according to a posting on the group's web site. "We had a real good time recording and hanging out at Spiren Studio and Knut ['Fug' Prytz] has outdone himself on this production," the band wrote. "We are proud to say that it sounds totally bad-assed!" A brand new song, entitled "Swine", can be downloaded at this location.

"Half Past Violence" was released in June 2005 via Edgerunner Music. The CD was produced by Rune Stavnesli at the Godt Selskap Studio (NECROPHAGIA, THE APPARATUS) in Trondheim, Norway.
