MANOWAR To Split With NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS?

February 9, 2004

MANOWAR are strongly rumored to be negotiating their way out of their record deal with Germany's Nuclear Blast Records. A posting at the Swiss MANOWAR fan site Manowar.ch characterized the current relationship between the group and the label as being in "a severe crisis" and indicated that the band's next CD would be released through another record company.

When contacted by BLABBERMOUTH.NET for a comment on the rumors, a Nuclear Blast representative said, "Nuclear Blast and MANOWAR have made no official statement yet, because the case is still at our/band's lawyers and still not signed by both sides. As soon as we have signed it, we will make an official statement."

MANOWAR's last studio album, "Warriors Of The World", entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 2 (right behind EMINEM) upon its release in May 2002 and has since been certified gold in Germany for sales in excess of 150,000 copies.
