MANTICORA Sign New Record Deal

Danish power metal merchants MANTICORA have signed a deal with Germany's Massacre Records for the European, Canadian and Australian territories. A U.S. deal with Nightmare Records has also been secured. The group's fourth album, "8 Deadly Sins", has already been completed and is scheduled for release later in the year. The follow-up to 2002's "Hyperion" (Scarlet Records) was recorded at Jailhouse studios in Horsens, Denmark and features artwork by Mattias Norén.

Commented the band: "After having negotiated with different labels, we found Massacre's offer to be the best one. This album deal should secure MANTICORA's position within the heavy metal world, and we are sure and confident that we finally have found a label with the resources to get us out to the bigger audience that we belong with. For USA we have now signed with Nightmare Records, who'll be working hard on also breaking MANTICORA into the U.S. market."
