MARSHALL LAW Forced To Pull Out Of U.K.'s HAMMERFEST
March 9, 2010Long-running Birmingham, U.K. metallers MARSHALL LAW have cancelled their appearance at this year's Hammerfest II festival, set to take place March 11-13, 2010 at Pontins, Prestatyn Sands, North Wales, United Kingdom. The band states, "Sadly, Steve [Hauxwell, drums] has been involved in an accident whilst snowboarding in Belgium and is undergoing treatment to a fractured wrist.
"We wish to apologise to all our fans that were looking forward to seeing the band, and also to the Hammerfest promoters."
MARSHALL LAW's sixth studio album, "Razorhead", was released in November 2008 via Global Music's imprint label DR2 Records. According to a press release, the CD was "the result of three years writing and recording and is a dark and intense journey that undoubtedly contains the bands best material to date. . . An adrenalin-infused blend of intense rhythms and massive riffs, screaming dual guitar leads and powerful vocals. Unashamedly 'metal', dark and unrelenting."
