MAUSOLEUM To Record Sophomore CD, Contribute Track To Horror-Movie Soundtrack
May 3, 2004Pennsylvanian death metallers MAUSOLEUM will enter the studio in June to begin recording "Back From the Funeral", the follow-up to their 2003 debut on Razorback Records, "Cadaveric Displays of Ghoulish Ghastliness". A late 2004 release is expected.
In other news, MAUSOLEUM will be contributing a song to the soundtrack of "The Brainiac", starring actors Lisa Billhime and Joe Hansard. This is an update of the black-and-white Mexican horror film cult classic, "The Brainiac", which was originally released in Mexico in 1961 as "El Baron del Terror", starring Abel Salazar and German Robles. Filmed entirely on location in Western Pennsylvania, the Terry King-directed film features a cameo by horror god Tom Savini as well as the special-effects talents of Savini's School of Make-Up Design instructor Matt Green.
