September 16, 2009Finland's HardcoreSounds.Net conducted an interview with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY/SOULFLY vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera when CAVALERA CONSPIRACY performed at the Ankkarock festival, which was held August 1-2, 2009 in Korso, Vantaa, Finland. Watch the eight-minute chat below.
"Inflikted", the debut album from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, sold 9,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 72 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Johny Chow (a.k.a. John Mark Bechtel; FIREBALL MINISTRY, SOULS OF WE, ex-SYSTEMATIC, MY RUIN) was recruited by CAVALERA CONSPIRACY to play bass for the group as the replacement for Joe Duplantier of the French progressive death metallers GOJIRA. Duplantier, who laid down all the bass tracks on "Inflikted", was busy in the studio working on the new GOJIRA CD and was unable to join CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on the road.
