MEDICATION Announce EP Release Date, Album Recording Plans

February 1, 2002

Los Angeles' MEDICATION, featuring former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader, ex-UGLY KID JOE/LIFE OF AGONY vocalist Whitfield Crane, ex-ADAYINTHELIFE guitarist Blunt, SOULFLY drummer Roy Mayorga, and ex-THE PIECE DOGS bassist Kyle Sanders, will issue their long-awaited five-song EP through Locomotive Music on April 2nd, according to an update from Sanders that was posted at the unofficial MEDICATION message board at this location. MEDICATION are expected to enter the studio on February 15th to begin recording their debut full-length CD for a tentative release date of June 22nd. A European press tour is projected to take place in March leading up to a special one-off show in Germany on March 15th, to be followed by a gig in Los Angeles on March 23rd. Further US dates will take place from April onward. It is presently unclear if drummer Roy Mayorga will be joining MEDICATION in the studio to record the group's full-length debut, seeing as his current touring schedule with SOULFLY will keep him busy throughout February, thus causing a conflict with MEDICATION's aforementioned recording plans. We will have more information on this as it becomes available.
