June 20, 2008

MELECHESH's long-out-of-print 1996 seven-inch EP "The Siege of Lachish" has been reissued via Proscriptor McGovern's (a.k.a. Russ R. Givens; leader of the Texas-based mythological occult metal outfit ABSU) label Tarot Productions. The EP is a collector's limited-edition picture disc made on heavy, 70-gram vinyl and comes with an insert and sticker. The EP can be directly ordered via Tarot Productions' web site.

Speaking of ABSU, MELECHESH's Ashmedi has completed lyrics for three songs for ABSU's upcoming album and will record a guest guitar solo as well. "I have decided to record the solo in Jerusalem, where I will be visiting in the next two weeks, for symbolic reasons," states Ashmedi.

MELECHESH has announced that it is seeking a new bass player. If you think you have what it takes, send an e-mail to [email protected] for more information.

The band recently completed a European tour with IMMOLATION, GOATWHORE and SICKENING HORROR. A couple of fan-filmed video clips from the trek can be viewed below.

MELECHESH's latest album, "Emissaries" the follow-up to 2003's "Sphynx" was released January 23, 2007 on Osmose Productions/The End Records.
