MELIAH RAGE: 'Undefeated' Video Posted Online
July 18, 2006Massachusetts-based thrash metallers MELIAH RAGE have uploaded the video for their new track "Undefeated" at this location. The song comes off the group's new album, "The Deep and Dreamless Sleep", due on September 12 via Screaming Ferret Wreckords.
Band leader/guitarist/songwriter Anthony Nichols, vocalist Paul Souza, guitarist Jim Koury, bass guitarist Jesse Johnson and returning original drummer Stuart Dowie recorded "The Deep And Dreamless Sleep" at Danger Multitrack Studios in Providence, RI, and Sherwood Forest Studios in Bedford, MA.
"The record seems to have a darker tone to it than previous efforts," Nichols had previously said in a press release.
Originally formed in 1985, MELIAH RAGE was often associated with the then-burgeoning thrash metal scene, which resulted in a major label contract and their 1988 metal classic, "Kill to Survive". In the ensuing years, the group played with some of metal's most renowned names — SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, MANOWAR, MORBID ANGEL, METAL CHURCH, and NUCLEAR ASSAULT. The group also included GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna in their ranks (as a drummer) during the early '90s.
