MESHUGGAH Confirmed For Finland's PROVINSSIROCK Festival
April 20, 2004Swedish experimental extreme metallers MESHUGGAH have been confirmed for this year's Provinssirock festival, a three-day event set to take place June 18-20 in Seinäjoki, Finland. MESHUGGAH will perform on Saturday, June 19 alongside HYPOCRISY and DIABLO. Other bands scheduled to appear at the festival include H.I.M., EXODUS, TESTAMENT, THE HIVES, TIIMO RAUTIAINEN & TRIO NISKALAUKAUS, KOTITEOLLISUUS, MOKOMA and SWALLOW THE SUN. As previously reported, MESHUGGAH recently signed a new deal with Nuclear Blast Records and have announced plans to record a new studio album, tentatively titled "Catch 33", later in the year. MESHUGGAH's last album under their previous contract with Nuclear Blast was 2002's "Nothing". Plans still exist for MESHUGGAH to release a one-song EP (clocking in at over 20 minutes) through Fractured Transmitter Records (the label formed by MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Jason Mann).
