METAL MIKE Comments On Collaboration With ROB HALFORD on 'Talking Metal' Theme Song
November 12, 2007Guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (HALFORD, SEBASTIAN BACH, PAINMUSEUM) recently scored the theme music to the "Talking Metal on Fuse" show on the popular network Fuse. Lending his explosive vocals to the song is none other than The Metal God himself, Rob Halford of JUDAS PRIEST.
Commented Chlasciak commented, "I have been asked by John, Mark and Fuse if I was interested in delivering a kick-ass opening theme for the show. It was a no-brainer. There was however another variable needed to blow this track out of the water and John and Mark just shoot for the stars and ask me what are the chances of Metal God singing on it. And, you know, I think about this for 5 seconds, pick up the phone and call Rob's/HALFORD manager John Baxter and explain what we are doing. So far so good. Everything sounded great, just Rob wanted to be sure that what was presented to him was something that he really wanted to tear it up on. That's understandable. I delivered the track to Rob and John and the response was a yes. Pretty simple, really. Deep inside I knew that if the music kicks ass Metal God would be into it. Rob worked on his parts with producer Roy Z and John Baxter in Los Angeles while all the music was recorded at my own House Of Metal Studios. The result is a track that I am very proud off. A little Christmas gift for the HALFORD fans, too, I suppose. Everyone at Fuse, 'Talking Metal', and at Rob's production team was an abosolute pro. In a nutshell, it is your ultimate metal headbanging mayhem with Rob screaming over it."
"Talking Metal on Fuse" will re-air today, Monday, November 12 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific and 7:00 p.m. Eastern.
