METALLICA Fans Invited To Attend 'CMT Outlaws' Taping
September 4, 2004METALLICA fans have been invited to attend the taping of the upcoming "CMT Outlaws" special, featuring a performance by METALLICA frontman James Hetfield.
The "CMT Outlaws" concert was originally scheduled to be performed on Tuesday (Sept. 7) before an invitation-only audience in front of the former Tennessee State Prison in Nashville. After rain was forecast for Middle Tennessee in the aftermath of Hurricane Frances, the event was moved downtown to the Gaylord Entertainment Center and opened to the public as a free concert.
Doors will open for general admission seating (first-come, first-served) at 6 p.m. CT at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. The taping begins at 7:30 p.m. CT. Individuals who have received an invitation may call 615-335-8267 for information.
As previously reported, the "CMT Outlaws" television taping will feature performances by some of music's most untamed and unpredictable artists, including Hank Williams Jr., Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, Tanya Tucker, Jessi Colter, Shooter Jennings and members of LYNYRD SKYNYRD — Gary Rossington, Billy Powell and Johnny Van Zant.
The landmark "CMT Outlaws" event will premiere as part of an exclusive two-part special on Friday, Oct. 29 on CMT (Country Music Television).
