MICHAEL SCHENKER In Rehab?

August 11, 2007

MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP drummer Bodo Schopf has posted the following message on his web site regarding the abrupt ending of the band's U.K. tour

"First I want to thank everybody for coming to see us and giving us the support. Sorry that we couldn't give you the 100% but those who were there saw that a man [referring to Michael Schenker] who plays from his heart was really hurt in his heart. We and some really close friends took care of him, and he is now in good hands, where he gets a really good treatment. Thank you again for your support."

Schenker and his band were scheduled to perform on August 3 in Stourbridge, U.K. but ended up calling off the gig after only a handful of songs. A short review of the concert, as posted on the Michael Schenker News and Tour Information web site, can be found at this location.
