MINISTRY's JOURGENSEN Outlines Touring Plans

MINISTRY's previously announced North American tour with MUDVAYNE and IN FLAMES is far from a done deal, according to MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen. In addition, the group are contemplating launching their own summer tour in the U.S. "with a full line-up of decent bands for a change," according to Al.

The following is Jourgensen's latest posting to the band's official web site:

"[On the upcoming headlining tour] we [will be] playing four songs off the new album, five off 'Filth Pig', five off 'Psalm 69: The Way To Succeed and To Suck Eggs', two off 'Dark Side Of The Spoon', three off 'The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste', two off 'Land Of Rape and Honey'. No intermission. That's for posers.

"Expect different arrangements on a lot of the songs. Keep things fresh, you know? We'll know after Al Paso what works and what doesn't. But the way things are sounding at rehearsals, I would recommend bringing an extra set of lungs.

"This will be a hootenanny, I promise.

"As far as openers for the tour, we're mulling some things over, but nothing is definite yet, except that we will be touring North America starting somewhere 'round March 20th - ish.

"We'll tour the States for eight weeks, then go back to Europe, war or no war. After that, we'll have to wait and see. There's a lot of possibilities this summer. One might be to do our own festival...with a full line-up of decent bands for a change.

"What do you guys think?

"Either way, we'll be around.

"Back to work.
