MISERY SIGNALS: New Album To Be Produced By DEVIN TOWNSEND
December 17, 2007Guitarist Stuart Ross of Milwaukee, WI's metalcore act MISERY SIGNALS has issued the following update:
"First off we are extremely excited to announce that the powerhouse maniacal genius, the one, the only Devin Townsend will be producing the new MISERY SIGNALS album (still yet to be titled). For those of you who are unfamiliar with Dev, he produced our first full-length, 'Of Malice and the Magnum Heart'. Dev has worked with a long list of talented bands and it is an extreme privilege to be working with him again for another album.
"We headed down to our rehearsal space bright and early and began doing some pre production demos to send to Devin. We recorded ten brand spanking new songs, most of which should make the album. The band will be splitting ways over the holidays for a couple weeks, then we will reunite in early January to write a few more songs, get some more demos together and once again send them to Dev.
"We recently announced some dates in Japan scheduled for late January (with BANE, SWORN ENEMY and SET YOUR GOALS). Upon our return we will head into the studio February 1st in Vancouver, British Columbia to be production on our new album.
"Once again, it's hard to express in words just how excited we are to be back working with Dev, and how excited we are about our material. I said it before and I will say it again, I think if you are fan of MS, you will really enjoy what we have come up with this time around."
MISERY SIGNALS recently teamed up with Hurley International to shoot a video for their song "Anchor", which includes live footage of the band's at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. The video, filmed by Hurley's production company SPKR Entertainment (Soren),was done with four cameras to capture the group's fantastic live energy.
