MNEMIC Bassist Rules Out Singer MICHAEL BØGBALLE's Return

MNEMIC bassist Tomas Cowan Koefoed has commented on the departure of singer Tony Jelencovich only six months after Tony joined the group as the replacement for Michael Bøgballe.

Said Koefoed: "We [are] work[ing] hard here to give you a name for yet another replacement of vocalist. We don't dig to pull you all through this again, but hope you'll understand that this was the best for all parts.

"MNEMIC and Tony have parted ways in a mutual agreement, and in respect to small differences in interest. You will not have Michael back either — sorry — 'cause he finally had his son born approximately one month ago (congratulations!),and is now even more than busy supporting his family.

"Tony and Michael are still friends of MNEMIC, but cannot attend our future activities.

"Please support us through this. A replacement is close [to being announced], and the new album is coming together fine, so stay tuned."

MNEMIC's sophomore album, "The Audio Injected Soul", was released in September 2004 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Mechanical Spin Phenomena" was recorded at AntFarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen.
