MONDO GENERATOR Joined By DAVE GROHL For L.A. Gig

April 26, 2002

Former NIRVANA drummer and current FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl made a quiet, unannounced appearance Wednesday night (April 24th) at the Troubadour in Los Angeles behind the drums with MONDO GENERATOR, brainchild of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's Nick Oliveri, which also features Josh Homme, Dave Catching, and other special guests. MONDO GENERATOR “blew the roof off the place with songs from the Cocaine Rodeo EP and a few other gems,” according to the FOO FIGHTERS web site. “Dave thrashed out the songs in fine fashion with ferocity hailing back to his days in SCREAM!”

MONDO GENERATOR were playing the Troubadour as the support act for AMEN, who were making a special one-off appearance at the venue.
