December 23, 2005

Swedish "heavy doom progressive" metallers MORGANA LEFAY have issued the following update on the condition of guitarist Peter Grehn, who was rushed to the hospital on Dec. 16 with major stomach pains:

"[Peter] suffered an inflamed appendix and had to get it removed [as soon as possible]. The surgery went fine and he's at home now recovering nicely. The video shoot next week will go ahead as planned.

"Peter and the rest of us want's to thank everybody for their concern about him and we wish you all some very happy holidays!"

As previously reported, MORGANA LEFAY will team up with Owe Lingwall (NOCTURNAL RITES drummer) as producer/director for a second video off their "Grand Materia" album, to be filmed next week. The chosen track is "I Roam" and the resultant clip is expected to be finished in January.

MORGANA LEFAY were asked to join old touring buddies NOCTURNAL RITES for a one-off show in NOCTURNAL RITES' hometown Umeå, Sweden. The show will take place at Iduntatern on January 28, 2006. Support at the gig will come from ASSAILANT and SPINNING BLACK CIRCLE. Tickets are available at www.ticnet.se.
