MOTÖRHEAD, SHADOWS FALL Donate Items to Save Legendary CBGB Nightclub

July 26, 2005

MOTÖRHEAD, SHADOWS FALL and GBH are among the artists that have donated rare and autographed items to be auctioned in support of the legendary CBGB nightclub in New York City.

After weeks of trying to receive a new lease, CBGB is still working to achieve an agreement with their landlord, The Bowery Resident's Committee. While CBGBs has been a neighbor in good standing with the community for 31 years, they still need to secure a new lease by August 31, 2005 and are planning a month of benefits. The goal of these events is to help generate support and momentum for a quick and fair resolution for a renewed lease.

In addition to the already announced benefit shows scheduled for August, CBGB has added RAW POWER and THE MISFITS, among other artists.

To learn more, visit www.savecbgb.org. To take action, sign the official Save CBGB petition, and receive updated news about this battle. Donations to Save CBGB.org will be used in the effort to secure a new and fair lease. Once a lease has been secured all proceeds will be donated to help the homeless. Donations to Save CBGBs are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
