MURDERDOLLS Singer To Adopt 'Full-On Horror' Image For Upcoming Tour

February 12, 2004

FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS, the band featuring MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13, will release their new album, "6 Years, 6 Feet Under the Influence", through People Like You Records on March 15.

"6 Years, 6 Feet Under the Influence" is the band's fifth offering — the last four having been released between 1996 and 2002.

Having put the band on hold for the last couple of years while enjoying worldwide success with the MURDERDOLLS, Wednesday is pleased to be bringing the FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS live experience to the U.K. next month. When asked what fans can expect, he said, "A lot of questions have been coming in, asking what I will be doing at these shows. I will not be modeling clothing, I will not be doing stand-up comedy, unless you consider the music I've made in the past comedy, and no other members of the MURDERDOLLS will be performing with me. I will, however, be playing songs from the entire FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS history, and promoting the new FDQ release '6 Years, 6 Feet Under the Influence'. This album contains re-recordings and revisions of songs from all 4 albums, as well as a few never-heard-before tracks. I have the Florida-based graverockers DEATH BECOMES YOU as my backing band. These guys are a bunch of gruesome ghouls and these shows are sure to be a visual hand-grenade of horror.

"I will be playing a lot of material from this upcoming release, as well as a few surprises. If the fans are expecting the MURDERDOLLS they can think again. This is a whole different show altogether. The differences are many, one that I am playing guitar live, which is something I've never done with MURDERDOLLS. Two, the MURDERDOLLS image is way more glam and this is full-on horror.... blood, guts and gore. Simply put, 'the MURDERDOLLS are pretty, and we are pretty ugly.'

"I'm really looking forward to the tour because the fans in the UK are amazing. They have treated me great and I can't wait to play these shows and give them something else to go home and tell their parents about and scare them to death.

"I will also be promoting my new merchandise line, 'The Thirteen Dead Kids', on this tour, which will available in stores worldwide in March. 'The Thirteen Dead Kids' is sure to appeal to MURDERDOLLS/FDQ fans, as well as anyone with a good, fun, sick sense of humor. To all the people of the U.K....'Beware and take S-care...Halloween is coming early this year'."
