NACHTMYSTIUM, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM To Play Free Show In Hollywood

September 24, 2008

Chicago-area psychedelic black metal group NACHTMYSTIUM will team up with Pacific Northwestern black metal eco-terrorists WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM for a free show at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California on October 8. To gain access, go to this location and sign yourself up for the guest list. (Please arrive early as space is limited!)

NACHTMYSTIUM's latest full-length album, "Assassins: Black Meddle Part I", was released on June 10 via Century Media Records in North America and June 23 through Candlelight Records in Europe.

"Worldfall", the new mini-CD from NACHTMYSTIUM, was released as a precursor to the band's upcoming full-length, and is only be available direct from Century Media as well as iTunes.

The "Assassins..." full-length was recorded in December at Sanford Parker's Volume Studios (RWAKE, MINSK, LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, PELICAN) and showcases NACHTMYSTIUM's most prolific and expansive sounds to date. The record features Tony Laureano (ANGELCORPSE, NILE, DIMMU BORGIR) on drums, and guest appearances by members of PHARAOH and YAKUZA.

WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM's sound is influenced by Scandinavian black metal, doom metal, dark ambient and folk music. The band has described its musical direction as "purifying black metal" or "transformative black metal," although in interviews the group has shown an unwillingness to be restricted by any musical label.

WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM's sophomore album, "Two Hunters", came out last year via Southern Lord.
