NAPALM DEATH Bassist Checks In From The Studio

August 6, 2008

Bassist Shane Embury of the British grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH has issued the following update:

"Well, today is the first day in the studio laying down drum tracks for our new album. After all the initial tuning and setting up of the drums, we managed to get four drum tracks down which is a great start, but we have another 13 to go. As people may or may not have heard, we are at Parlour studios in Kettering with producer Russ Russell at the helm laying down the drums and then in a few days we will return to Foel studios in Wales for the recording of the guitars, bass and vocals — finally to return here to Parlour for the mix. So early days yet but we will keep you posted as best we can."

Upcoming NAPALM DEATH shows:

Aug. 16 - Derby - Bloodstock Open Air, UK
Oct. 03 - Lichtenfels - WOD Festival, Germany
Oct. 25 - Leeds - Damnation Fest, UK
Oct. 31 - Chalon Sur Saone - La Peniche, France
