Negotiations For CREED Reunion Underway

The Pulse of Radio reports that CREED is officially working on the details for a 2009 reunion tour, according to Billboard.com. Sources have reported that there are "significant dollars" on the table for a CREED trek, although a spokesperson for Wind-Up said, "There have been some talks, but it would be premature to comment on them at this time." CREED disbanded in June of 2004, with singer Scott Stapp pursuing a solo career and the other three members of the group forming ALTER BRIDGE with singer Myles Kennedy. With Kennedy rumored to be the frontrunner to sing with a LED ZEPPELIN offshoot, the timing could be perfect for CREED to re-emerge.

ALTER BRIDGE and CREED guitarist Mark Tremonti recently hinted that Kennedy could be getting the gig with the non-singing members of LED ZEPPELIN, although he said that ALTER BRIDGE would continue as well.

Kennedy himself told Austria's Stormbringer.at late last month, "I am not singing for LED ZEPPELIN," although it has been established that the new project would not go out under the ZEPPELIN name without Robert Plant's involvement.

Since leaving CREED, Scott Stapp has not had a smooth ride. He has been arrested for domestic abuse and public drunkenness, gotten into a fight in a hotel with members of 311, been to rehab and was scandalized by a sex tape that surfaced featuring him and Kid Rock on a bus with several women.

However, Stapp is now said to be "in prime physical and mental condition" and recently returned from playing overseas for U.S. troops.
