NEURAXIS Members Discuss Forthcoming Album
November 18, 2010In a recent interview with the Canadian metal radio program "The Great Black North", Rob Milley and Alex Leblanc of Montreal-based death metallers NEURAXIS spoke about their upcoming sixth studio album, "Asylon", which is scheduled for release in North America on February 15, 2011 via Prosthetic Records. The CD was recorded at Wildsound Studio with producer Chris Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY, THE LAST FELONY, THE AGONIST). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Savior And Destroyer", "Left To Devour", "V" and the title track.
"We're a great team," Rob remarked when asked how NEURAXIS's dynamic has changed since the band's latest lineup shuffle, which included the departure of the last original member of the group. "The (new guys) worked really hard."
"This album is a result of what we've been living (in the last few years)," Rob stated about the overall vibe and musical direction of the new material. "To be brutally honest, it's really fucking dark, and really emotional." "Everyone has said it really is the heaviest NEURAXIS album ever," Alex added.
"For the first time ever, after 10 times listening to my album, I'm not sick of it," Alex continued. "I can't stop listening."
