NILE was scheduled to shoot a video for the song "Papyrus Containing The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor From Attacks From He Who Is In The Water" on November 18. The clip, which is rumored to feature live Nile crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus),was to be directed by Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez (producer for such acts as MORBID ANGEL and TERRORIZER).
MetalKult.com has posted a 17-part video guitar lesson with NILE.
The footage was shot on August 21, 2007, when the South Carolina band came to New York City to play a one-off date from this summer's Ozzfest, in support of their new album "Ithyphallic" (Nuclear Blast).
In the interview, guitarists Karl Sanders and Dallas Toler-Wade demonstrate the key elements of their style, and show how to play NILE classics like "Barra Edinazzu", "Howling of the Jinn", "Black Seeds of Vengeance" and more.
