NOKTURNEL: New Song Posted Online

April 8, 2011

"Ancestral Calling", a brand new song from Austin, Texas death metallers NOKTURNEL, can be streamed in the ReverbNation TuneWidget below.

"Ancestral Calling" was written by Tom Stevens, who also performed vocals, guitar, and bass duties on the track. NOKTURNEL drummer Duane Timlin had other obligations to fulfill, and Stevens was not going to slow down for anything, so he called on Chad Walls who enthusiastically agreed to work with him once again. Stevens and Walls worked together in 2009 on the "Demonic Supremacy" single.

"Ancestral Calling" is the first of a slew of new NOKTURNEL songs Tom is preparing to unleash. He commented: "I am extremely excited to have Chad contributing to what I feel is the most important song of my career. His drumming is solid and his professionalism in the studio delivers unto me a piece of work my engineer finds to be perfect for us to work with; it's effortless for me. Chad really brought my riffs to life. NOKTURNEL fans owe this man their gratitude; he is an important part of NOKTURNEL and I very well may not have accomplished all I have done in 2010/2011 without the jumpstart he gave NOKTURNEL."

NOKTURNEL's lineup of Tom Stevens, Bill Reuter and Duane Timlin is preparing for its appearance at this year's Maryland Deathfest IX, which is set to take place May 26-29, 2011 at Sonar in Baltimore.

NOKTURNEL is fully independent and is looking for a solid label and booking agency to back them.
