OBSIDIAN To Enter Studio In August

Dutch death/thrash metal act OBSIDIAN will enter Excess studios in Rotterdam in August to begin recording the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2007's "Emerging". The CD will feature nine brand new tracks and will be released in late 2008/early 2009 via Rusty Cage Records.

OBSIDIAN recently posted the video for its track "Footprints" on YouTube. The clip, which was directed by Dennis Lubbers from the Film Academy in Amsterdam, can be viewed below.

"Footprints" comes off OBSIDIAN's debut album, "Emerging", which was reissued last year via Rusty Cage Records.

Formed in 1998, OBSIDIAN's current lineup is as follows:
