OZZY OSBOURNE's Press Conference At Calgary International Airport; Video Available

July 26, 2008

CityTV.com has posted video footage (see below; requires Windows Media Player 9 or higher to watch) of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's press conference at the arrivals terminal of the Calgary International Airport in Calgary, Alberta, Canada Friday afternoon (July 25) where they were given a taste of the city's hospitality by receiving white Stetsons, part of Calgary's traditional welcome to notable visitors.

According to the Calgary Sun, Ozzy, who's headlining today's Monsters of Rock concert at McMahon Stadium with fellow metalheads JUDAS PRIEST, said he's never felt so at ease at entering Canada, despite a notoriously mind-altered past.

"It's the fastest time I ever got into this country... for the first time in customs, they were OK," Osbourne told reporters at the airport, joking he's never consumed drugs or alcohol.

Osbourne, clad in skull-and-cross bones sneakers and ankle-length black coat, was compelled to gallop on a phantom horse to earn his white cowboy hat — one that's been granted Oprah Winfrey, former U.S president Bill Clinton and THE ROLLING STONES.

But he confessed his horsemanship leaves much to be desired

When asked if his Satanic image made a black hat more suitable, Ozzy seemed taken aback.

"The white hat's the tradition, right?" mumbled the one-time BLACK SABBATH frontman. "It's just a hat."
