OZZY To Address ATV Accident On SHARON's Show, ABC's 'Primetime'

Ozzy Osbourne and his bodyguard will make an appearance on "The Sharon Osbourne Show" next Wednesday (Feb. 11) to address Ozzy's all-terrain vehicle crash that caused him to stop breathing twice and left him in a coma for eight days.

Osbourne, 55, fractured his collarbone, eight ribs and a neck vertebra when the 272-kilogram ATV flipped and landed on top of him at his estate in Buckinghamshire, southern England, on December 8. He spent a week on a ventilator.

Osbourne said he owed his life to his bodyguard Sam Ruston, who twice gave him the kiss of life to restore his breathing.

"If it wasn't for Sam, I probably wouldn't be here," he said.

In other news, ABC has announced that Ozzy and Sharon sit down with Diane Sawyer of "Primetime" (web site) in their first joint television appearance since the accident. The show is scheduled to air on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 10 p.m. ET.
