PARADISE LOST Cancel METALWAY Festival Appearance
August 9, 2005PARADISE LOST have been forced to cancel their appearance at the Metalway festival in Gernika, Spain due to an illness in the band. Replacing the group on the bill will be Portugal's MOONSPELL. Other acts scheduled to perform at the festival — which will take place this weekend (August 12-14) — include ACCEPT, APOCALYPTICA, BEYOND FEAR, CHILDREN OF BODOM, KORN, KREATOR, MANOWAR, OBITUARY, PRIMAL FEAR, SAXON, SENTENCED, SODOM and W.A.S.P.
As previously reported, PARADISE LOST recently signed a licensing deal with Century Media Records to release the group's new self-titled album in all territories except for continental Europe and Japan, where the CD is still licensed to G.U.N./ Sony BMG.
"Paradise Lost" was recorded primarily at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England under the guidance of producer Rhys Fulber (FEAR FACTORY, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY). The follow-up to 2002's "Symbol of Life" is the group's first CD to feature drummer Jeff Singer (ex-BLAZE).
