PARAGON Begins Recording New Album
August 25, 2006Bassist Jan Bünning of the German power metallers PARAGON has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"Recordings [for the new PARAGON album] started and Martin [Christian] already laid down pilot guitars for six songs. Three plus one more to record as there will be nine PARAGON songs on the album as well as one cover song. Ah — I forgot to mention that there will also be a short instrumental track as well; we've never done one before! We will take recordings easy this time as we agreed on some kind of 'flat rate' with our engineer Steve to record the album. When Martin is done with the pilot guitars Chris [Gripp] will do his drums and after that I am the one to record my bass. Then Martin and Günny [Kruse] will enter the studio again to record the 'real' guitars before we then change the studio to record Buschi's [Andreas Babuschkin] vocals and mix the whole album. I still can't announce the the producer but I guess some of you already know who it is. Just a hint: He sings, plays guitar and has red hair..."
As previously reported, PARAGON has set "Gangland" as the working title of its new album. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Hammer of the Gods", "Souleaters", "Gangland", "Forgotten Prophecies", "Face of Death", "Halls of Doom" and "Agony".
PARAGON's latest album, "Revenge", was released in the U.S. in April 2005 via Magick Records. The CD was the follow-up to "The Dark Legacy", which was released in 2003 by Remedy.
