PERSISTENSE Issues Touring, New Album Update
January 9, 2011Den Bosch, Netherlands-based thrash/death quintet PERSISTENSE (a contraction of the words "to persist" and "intense") has issued the following update:
"Wow!!! It looks like 2011 will be a great year for us! We already have a lot of shows confirmed and there will be more to follow.
"First we'll play a show in January together with our good friends ARCHAIC AVERNO. It's been a while since we've had our last gig with them so we're looking forward to share the stage again.
"In February we team up with LUNARSPHERE and NEW WORLD DEPRESSION to play three shows in Germany. Both LUNARSPHERE and NEW WORLD DEPRESSION have become good friends of ours and we're very thankful for the opportunity they give us to play in Germany. The first show of that mini-tour will be in Neuenkirchen, a village close to Emsdetten where we played last December. We had a great time over there and we hope to see all those true metal people again! The next day we move on to Hamburg to play at the Bambi Galore. The last day of the mini-tour we'll play a show on a boat on the Weser river in Bremen.
"In April we'll support BITCH (US) and ANGER AS ART (US) on their tour in Holland. Three dates are already confirmed and some more will follow. We also have set one date in October. We play at the Metal Against Child Cancer festival in Belgium.
"Besides all the gigs, we're still working very hard on our next album. The songs are getting shape more and more and we hope to release an album which surpasses our debut album, 'In Blood And Heart'. The album will be released by Deity Down Records again and for now it looks like the release date will be set somewhere at the end of the year."
PERSISTENSE recently parted ways with guitarist Jacques Maas and replaced him with Hein Willekens.
The band's full-length debut, "In Blood And Heart", came out in September 2009 via Deity Down.
