PERZONAL WAR: New Album Delayed
March 11, 2004German thrashers PERZONAL WAR have postponed the release date of their new album, "Faces", to May 17. The band will release an EP on April 19 containing the song "My Secret" plus exclusive non-album bonus material and a brand new video clip.
As previously reported, the follow-up to 2002's "Different But The Same" will be the first to feature new bass player Sven Krautkraemer, who replaced longtime member Frank Buchwalter. "Faces" was recorded once again at Gernhardt studios and produced by vocalist Metti Zimmerman and drummer Martin. Mastering was done by Kai Kneutgen, who also worked on the band's last album.
When asked about the new material, Zimmerman told Maximum Metal that the new songs are very different to each other. Twelve songs are on the album and Zimmerman explained that the new offering is a "bit more extreme than the last one with some half-ballads, some deep tuned mid-tempo stuff and also the fastest and most brutal PERZONAL WAR songs ever."
