POISON Drummer Says He Doesn't Know His Accuser In Sex-Assault Case
May 10, 2008POISON drummer Rikki Rockett has told TMZ.com that he will hold a press conference next week that will clear the air on the sexual assault charges that were filed against him in connection with a September 2007 incident that took place in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Speaking to TMZ.com outside the Off Broadway Bistro in Valencia, California where Rockett and his fiance Melanie Martel, a singer, were scheduled to perform last night (Friday, May 9),Rikki said, "We're doing a press conference next week this whole thing will be over. And it'll be the end of it." On the subject of whether he will be indicted for rape in Mississippi, Rockett said, "No, I would have been indicted already." Asked if he even knows his accuser, Rikki replied, "No. I don't know who she is."

Rockett was arrested in March in Los Angeles on a warrant stemming from the forceable rape complaint.
The alleged rape occurred Sept. 23, 2007, at the Silver Star Casino in Philadelphia, Miss. The casino-hotel complex about an hour northeast of Jackson is owned by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
