POISON THE WELL has announced the first in a series of three new seven-inch singles leading up the May 2009 release of its new full-length album. The first seven-inch, simply titled "I / III", will see its official physical and digital release on November 11 through Ferret Music, but will also be available as a new pre-order package (special seven-inch related t-shirt, poster, and seven-inch) beginning on October 24 through the band's MySpace page.

Fun fact: Once they're available, put all three records together to reveal a hidden image. No songs released on any of the three seven-inch records will appear on the band's new 2009 full-length (all are taken from the recording of the band's 2007 "Versions" CD).

"I / III" track listing:

01. New Fast
02. Purple Sabbath

"I / III" was produced by Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Louström at the Factory, The Octagon and Tonteknik recording in Umeå, Sweden and was mixed and mastered by Pelle Henricsson and Tonteknik recording. All songs were written by POISON THE WELL. The layout was handled by Brad Clifford.

Songs on "I / III" were performed by:

Jeff Moreira - Vocals
Ryan Primack - Guitar
Chris Hornbrook - Drums
Jason Boyer - Guitar
Ben Brown - Bass

POISON THE WELL will enter the studio in November with producer J Robbins (AGAINST ME!, CLUTCH, PAINT IT BLACK, MODERN LIFE IS WAR, MURDER BY DEATH) to begin recording its fifth full-length album for a May 2009 release via Ferret Music.

POISON THE WELL released its latest album, "Versions", in 2007 on Ferret Music.

The group's video for the song "Letter Thing" can be viewed on YouTube. The live performance footage for the clip was shot in Los Angeles. Directed by Roboshobo (BLOOD BROTHERS, MATES OF STATE) and featuring animation, the video is "very different video for us and in general," drummer Chris Hornbrook previously said.

JP Selbekk of Ignore Entertainment has uploaded quality video footage of POISON THE WELL's March 2, 2008 performance at Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway. Watch the clips below.
