POISONBLACK: New Studio Photos Posted Online

POISONBLACK, the Finnish band featuring SENTENCED frontman Ville Laihiala on guitar/vocals, are putting the finishing touches on their sophomore album, tentatively due in October through Century Media Records. Several photos from the studio sessions can be viewed at this location.

Laihiala had previously stated about the new album's musical direction: "The new one has the same spirit and theme that was on [the debut album, 'Escapextacy'], but presented with a lot more dirtier and rougher sounds without forgetting the melodies," he said. "But if you are waiting for a soft goth-rock album you'll be surprised."

As previously reported, 2003's "Escapextacy" featured the vocal talents of CHARON frontman Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto. Juha-Pekka's touring and recording commitments with his main band eventually forced him to quit POISONBLACK, but not before completing all the touring activities in support of the group's debut CD.
