QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Frontman Ordered To Rest
September 1, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Josh Homme was diagnosed with exhaustion and ordered by a doctor to rest in bed, according to the band's official web site. The group was forced to cancel its Tuesday night (August 30) show in Stuggart, Germany as a result. Homme has been on tour in Europe despite recovering from a knee operation that he had a week before the tour began. The web site says he is "resting now and in stable condition."
Homme underwent surgery to repair his meniscus, a crescent-shaped disc of connective tissue located between the bones of the knees, which he tore onstage earlier this summer in Australia.
The band taped its recent show in London for a live DVD and CD that's expected to be released in November.
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will begin a North American tour with NINE INCH NAILS on September 16 in San Diego, California.
