QUEENSRŸCHE Collaborating With LIMP BIZKIT Engineer, FOO FIGHTERS Producer On New CD
April 3, 2003QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Michael Wilton has revealed that the group's much-anticipated new studio album is being engineered by Scott Olson, who had previously worked as the "full-time right hand" to Terry Date, producer for such bands as the DEFTONES, PANTERA and LIMP BIZKIT, among others. The as-yet-untitled effort will be mixed by Adam Kasper, whose previous credits include PEARL JAM and the FOO FIGHTERS. With regards to the material on the CD, tentatively due in June through Sanctuary Records, Wilton told Sweden's Metalshrine.com that it will be "quite diverse," but didn't elaborate on its direction, which has been the subject of much speculation among the group's fans. Wilton also indicated that if original guitarist Chris DeGarmo doesn't end up rejoining the band full-time, the group will get a hired gun to fill the position.
